These terms are the agreement between you and us when you use Cykl. The short version: your content is yours, the subscription renews until you cancel it, AI suggestions are suggestions, and you can export or delete everything whenever you like.
1. The agreement
Cykl — the iOS and Android apps, the web app at app.cykl.io and the service behind them — is operated by Ludmila Sevcenco, Republic of Moldova, and developed by Piotr Sevcenco (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the app you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you download the app from the App Store or Google Play, that store’s terms also apply to your download and purchases; Apple and Google are not parties to these terms and are not responsible for the app.
Cykl was called MasteryOS until 30 September 2026, at masteryos.app. It is the same app, the same operator and the same data; only the name and the addresses changed. Anything you agreed to or received under the old name applies to Cykl.
Cykl is a personal planning and reflection tool. It is not medical, psychological, financial or professional advice, and it is not a substitute for any of them.
2. Your account
You must be at least 16 years old, and old enough to enter a contract where you live.
Give accurate sign-up details and keep your sign-in secure. You are responsible for what happens under your account, including anything done with access tokens you create for external assistants.
An account is for one person. Tell us at once if you think someone else has access to it.
3. Subscription and free trial
Plans. Cykl is a paid subscription, billed monthly or yearly. Prices are shown in the app before you buy, in your local currency where the store sets one, including any taxes the store collects.
Free trial. New subscribers get a 14-day free trial. You add a payment method to start it. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the subscription begins and you are charged for the first period. One trial per person.
Renewal. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period at the then-current price until you cancel. We will tell you in advance of any price change, and it applies from your next renewal.
Where you pay. Purchases in the iOS app are made through Apple, in the Android app through Google Play, and on the web through our payment provider. The seller’s billing terms apply to each. A subscription bought on one platform unlocks your account everywhere you sign in.
AI allowance. A subscription includes a generous monthly allowance of AI suggestions for personal use. The app shows what is left; when it runs out, AI features pause until the next period while everything else keeps working.
4. Cancelling and refunds
Cancel any time, where you subscribed: your Apple ID’s subscriptions, the Google Play Store’s Payments & subscriptions, or, for a web subscription, Settings → Account → Subscription → Manage in the app. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
After cancelling, you keep access until the end of the period you paid for. We do not refund partial periods, except where the law requires it.
Refunds for App Store and Google Play purchases are handled by Apple and Google under their policies. For web purchases, write to us.
EU and UK consumers: you have a 14-day right to withdraw from a contract for digital services. By starting your subscription you ask us to provide the service straight away; if you withdraw within 14 days of your first payment, write to us and we will refund you in full.
When a subscription ends, the app asks you to subscribe again before you can keep using it. Your data stays in your account, and exporting it and deleting your account remain available.
5. Your content
Everything you put into Cykl — plans, reflections, scores, notes and photos — remains yours. You give us only the permission we need to store it, sync it between your devices, and process it to provide the features you use, including sending parts of it to our AI provider when you use an AI feature. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account.
You can export all of your data at any time (Settings → Data → Export). The app keeps a full copy on your device and works offline, but please keep your own exports of anything you cannot afford to lose.
6. AI features
Some features use an AI model to suggest plans, summaries, drafts or the structure of a voice check-in. AI output can be wrong, incomplete or unsuitable for you. It is always offered as a proposal you can accept, edit or discard, and you are responsible for what you choose to keep and act on.
Ask Cykl answers questions about your own record. It changes nothing, but its answers are interpretations: the patterns and correlations it finds can be wrong, can rest on too few days, and do not show cause. They are not medical, psychological, financial or other professional advice. Check what an answer rests on before you act on it.
7. Acceptable use
Please don’t:
break the law with Cykl, or use it to store content you have no right to;
try to access other people’s accounts or data, or probe, disrupt or overload the service;
get around subscription checks, AI limits or rate limits, or resell or share access to the AI features;
copy, decompile or reverse engineer the app except where the law allows it;
use automated access other than the agent access we provide in Settings → Integrations.
8. The service
Cykl, its design, method and software are ours, and these terms give you a personal, non-transferable right to use them while your account is in good standing. We work to keep the service available and your data safe, but we cannot promise it will be uninterrupted or free of errors. We improve the app continually and may change or remove features; if a change significantly reduces what you pay for, we will tell you in advance and you may cancel.
9. Ending the agreement
You can stop at any time by deleting your account in Settings → Account; this erases your data from our servers. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, telling you why unless the law prevents it, and giving you a chance to export your data where we can. If we ever shut Cykl down, we will give at least 30 days’ notice, refund any unused prepaid period for web subscriptions, and keep export available until the end.
10. Liability
Cykl is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, or decisions you make based on the app or its AI suggestions, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Moldova. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in its courts. If something goes wrong, please write to us first — most things can be put right quickly.
12. Changes and contact
If we change these terms we will update the date at the top, and tell you in the app or by email before a significant change takes effect. If you keep using Cykl after that, the new terms apply; if you do not agree, you can cancel and delete your account.
