Partner programme terms
These terms are the agreement between you and us when you take part in the Cykl partner programme. The short version: you earn 30% of what the people you bring pay, we pay it quarterly by PayPal, and you tell your audience plainly that you earn from the link. They sit beside the Terms of Service, which apply to your own use of Cykl.
1. Joining
- You join by invitation, or when we approve your application. We do not approve anyone automatically, and we may decline or remove a creator at our discretion.
- The commission is 30% of what each person you bring pays, for as long as that person stays subscribed, unless we agree something else with you in writing.
- An approved creator gets Cykl Pro free for as long as they are in the programme.
2. Your link and attribution
- Your link is
cykl.io/with/yourcode. A person is yours only if they create their account through it. - We use no cookie and store nothing on the person’s device. Someone who leaves, then comes back through the plain site, is not attributed to you.
- One trial per person. The 30-day trial is only for accounts that have never had a subscription. Someone who has already used a trial cannot get another through your link, and is not attributed to you.
- Your own account and purchases never count.
3. What counts
- Payments made by an account you brought, on any store (the web, the App Store or Google Play), net of tax and store fees. We calculate the net the way our subscription provider reports it.
- The renewal that follows a trial counts, and so does every renewal after it.
- Trial starts do not count, because nothing is paid. Credit packs do not count.
- Refunds come out: if we refund a payment, the commission on it is taken back.
4. The 30-day hold
A payment counts toward a payout once it is 30 days old. That leaves room for refunds and chargebacks to arrive first, so you are never paid on money we then give back.
5. Payouts
- We pay once a quarter, by PayPal, to the address you give us. You are responsible for it being correct, and for any PayPal fees and taxes on your side.
- We pay when at least $50 is owed. A smaller amount rolls over to the next quarter.
- Each quarter we send you a statement of what counted and what is held.
6. Rules for sharing
- No self-referral. Do not use your link, or a link under another name, for your own account or for accounts you control, and do not create accounts to earn from them.
- No paid ads on our name. Do not bid on, or use, “Cykl” (or close variants) as a keyword or in the text of paid advertising, and do not register domains or social accounts that look like ours.
- Say only true things about Cykl. Do not promise results we do not promise, and do not present yourself as speaking for us.
- No spam: send your link only to people who would want to hear from you.
If we find a breach, we may withhold commission it produced and remove you from the programme.
7. Disclosure
You must tell your audience that you earn from your link, clearly and wherever you share it, as the law where you publish requires. In the United States that is the FTC’s endorsement rules; in the European Union, consumer and unfair-commercial-practices law. A plain label such as “ad” or “affiliate link” next to the link, or a spoken mention in a video or podcast, is the usual way. The duty is yours, and we may ask to see how you disclose.
8. Ending the programme
- You can leave at any time. We can end the programme, or your place in it, with 30 days’ notice.
- Commission you have already earned is still paid, under the rules above. After the end, new sign-ups through your link are no longer attributed to you.
- We may change these terms. A change applies to what is earned after we tell you, and we will tell you before it takes effect.
